Every week the staff is required to attend either seminars or training sessions that teach them the latest theories and methodologies in facial and hair care. 

The Salon West team is also taught to  listen to your likes, dislikes, preferences,  and lifestyle, as well as how to determine your hair type and skin tone, all of which will contribute to the look that you want.

Shaniqua (Senior Stylist/Head Colorist)

I’m a native of Nassau, Bahamas and have lived in New York for the past eleven years.  My passion for hair triumphed upon my arrival in Manhattan where I began taking classes at the Learning Institute of Beauty Sciences.  I’ve been a member of the Salon West family for ten years and share the Salon’s vision of customer service and education philosophy.  As Head Colorist at Salon West, I hold several certificates for coloring techniques, as well as an impressive returning clientele.  My belief is simple “treat customers the way you want to be treated.”  This has always worked for me. If your color is in need of repair or if your color just doesn’t fit your personality, I invite you to see me. My goal is to give you color that looks like you were born with it.

Tina (Colorist, Stylist)

My passion for cutting and coloring motivates me to perform at my best.  I enjoy working with different types of styles and techniques.  I have always continued to advance my education in the latest trends in the industry.  I enjoy working with my team and share the same goals to deliver an awesome service to WOW my customer.  I will consider myself an expert in my profession and will deliver the best service, else you will get a full refund if your not fully satisfied.

Sally (Stylist)

In New York for seven years, I have perfected an approach that reflects international sophistication but can effortlessly keep up with the city's fast pace. I begin by taking some time to understand your lifestyle in order to create a very personal look that meets your needs and always leaves you feeling like you look your best. My specialty is graphic - personalized, fringes, soft, loose, tapered layers as well as tight, shorter styles. She finishes with creating a unique shade customized for you. Axhere (Stylist)

I am a talented and rising haircutter and colorist with an eye for style. After assisting at Salon West for two years, I have developed her own method, accenting each individual’s best by creating an entire look. Her hip, fresh approach of creative energy not only complements what’s outside, but also within.
